Where We Store Your Data:
We will store all information about you on secure servers. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the UK or the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. We collect and store your personal data for the purpose of our volunteering database and in future to try to assist our volunteers to promote their own businesses. As such, we will only retain your personal data for as long as we believe it is up-to-date, i.e. as long as it is associated with a volunteer that is included in our database. We verify our data periodically and if we learn that you are no longer able to volunteer, we will remove your data from our records.
Why we’re allowed to process your data by law:
We collect and use your data because it is in the legitimate interest of our business to do so, and because you have given us permission to do so by signing up.
If you are referred to us by someone who is already a member, we will process your data to invite you to join our website, and your data will be deleted within 6 months if you fail to do so.
If you would like to see the personal information that we hold about you, you can request a copy at any time. If you are a member, you can login and correct information about yourself at any time, or can write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request editing or deletion of your personal information.
We won’t ever charge you for a copy of your personal information.
